Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help

Champion, Wisconsin

The first Marian Apparition to be approved by the Church in the USA

The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, 17miles NE of Green Bay Wisconsin, is the one and only USA approved Apparition Site. A decree was issued by Bishop David Ricken, of the Green Bay Diocese just this past Dec. 8, 2010.

For over 150 years now people have been coming to seek out the intercession of Our Blessed Mother. She is ever present to us lovingly drawing us into a deeper love and union with her Son, Jesus Christ.

Come to this Site and experience a true “Oasis of Peace”. Call us to check out available dates or to book your own parish, your own date on a pilgrimage to this wonderful shrine.

Day 1: Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help

Most of our departure cities will require an early morning departure and a full morning of travel to get to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help near Champion, Wisconsin.

This is a day of getting to know one another and a day of prayer, singing and bonding with the group and priest. The priest is often one that many know from their own parish or diocese. Regular stops along the way are made for breaks to get a cup of coffee and a chance to stretch prior to arriving in the Green Bay area. Once in the Green Bay area, we will have lunch prior to a guided tour of the National Shrine of St. Joseph in DePere, Wisconsin. The Shrine is in the lower crypt of St. Norbert’s Abbey, which is run by the Norbertine Order of brothers and priests. Following a one hour guided tour of the Abbey Church, Museum of the Norbertines and seeing the Crowned State of St. Joseph holding the crowned Baby Jesus, we will continue to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help near Champion.

At the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help we will now have an opportunity for orientation, and if time permits, in midafternoon to have our first Mass at the Shrine. After a full day, we return to Green Bay for hotel check in and overnight and a wonderful “home flavored dinner” at a nearby restaurant.

Day 2 – "Destinations"

Our morning starts with a continental breakfast at the hotel. Check out of hotel and return to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help for a full morning of Retreat, an opportunity to visit the apparition site, Sister Adele’s gravesite, and time in the gift shop. We will celebrate the daily 11 am Mass at the Shrine with our priest concelebrating with the resident priest of the Shine. If weather permits, you can stroll through the Grotto area behind the church where you will find the Stations of the Cross and a Rosary walk for private prayer and meditation.

Lunch is catered in the Adele Brise Hall after Mass and just prior to our departure from the Shrine. Before traveling homeward, we make one more very meaningful stop which is a culmination to our whole experience. We will have a guided 1 1⁄2 hour tour of the gorgeous St. Francis Xavier Cathedral of the Green Bay Diocese. In addition to the beautiful Cathedral, there is a museum of wonderful age old vestments, chalices, and a great collection of relics all in the crypt of the Cathedral.

As we journey home, we can ponder the “Oasis of Peace” that we encountered with OUR LADY as the most powerful intercessor in petitioning to Our Lord for all the desires of our heart. To be here in the infancy stages of this apparition site, the only one approved in the USA, is truly a rich and special blessing.
