Day 1: USA to Warsaw
Meet the group and depart from the MSP airport. Get excited for a fabulous trip!
Day 2: Warsaw
Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and coach bus driver. Transfer to Church of St James area. Lunch on your own. Eucharistic Celebration in the Church of St James. This was the first church entered into by St Faustina on her arrival to Warsaw. Stroll through Lazienki Royal Park if there is time. Transfer to the St. John Paul II Museum commemorating Archbishop Wyszynski and John Paul’s influence on the faith and cultural identity of Poland as communism is overthrown. Check into your hotel in Warsaw and enjoy dinner.

Day 2: Warsaw
Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and coach bus driver. Transfer to Church of St James area. Lunch on your own. Eucharistic Celebration in the Church of St James. Day 3: Warsaw, Niepokalanow
After breakfast, visit the Stanislaw Kostka Church where St. John Paul II visited for its significance honoring Blessed Fr. Jerzy Popieluszko martyred in 1984 by communists. Then explore Warsaw Old Town, a UNESCO Heritage Site. Stroll along the cobbled streets from the Royal Castle, past St John’s Cathedral, through the Market Square and Barbican to the New Town soaking up the medieval atmosphere. Continue onto the Saxon Gardens and Pilsudski Square, the site of John Paul’s II celebrated Mass. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon transfer to Niepokalanów, “City of the Immaculata”. Here is the Franciscan Friary founded by St. Maximilian Kolbe in honor of the Immaculate Virgin. Return to Warsaw. Enjoy dinner at the hotel.

Day 4: Plock, Świnice Warckie, Łódź
Enjoy breakfast then visit the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy in Płock. A place of the first revelation of Merciful Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, during which she was ordered to paint a picture with the inscription: Jesus, I Trust in You. Transfer to the village of Świnice Warckie. Lunch on your own. Visit the Church of St. Casimir and celebrate Mass. See the Shrine of the birth and baptism of St. Faustina. Continue to Łódź to check into our hotel. Enjoy dinner and relax for the evening.
Day 5: Łódź – Czestochowa (Blessed Jerzy Popieluszko Feast Day)
After breakfast, tour Łódź where young Faustina spent 2 years as a housekeeper. Visit Wenecja Park where she saw tortured Jesus while at a dance. She went to the nearest church, the Cathedral of St Stanisław Kostka, where she heard His words telling her to enter the convent. We will continue to Czestochowa. Lunch on your own. Eucharistic Celebration at Jasna Gora Monastery, home to the beloved icon of the Black Madonna. Saint John Paul II is said to have made frequent visits to this monastery throughout his life. There will be time for prayer and reflection. Check-in to our hotel in Czestochowa. Enjoy dinner.

Visit the St Maximilian Kolbe Centre with the Franciscan Monastery and Convent. It is the place that commemorates St Maximilian martyrdom. Celebrate Mass and then continue to Krakow. Check into our hotel in and enjoy dinner.

Day 7: Krakow, Zakopane
Drive through the mountains to the breathtaking yet small and remote village of Zakopane. Take a cable car ride to the nearby mountaintop experiencing a magnificent panoramic view of God’s glory. Head to the Jaszczurówka Chapel for Mass and where young Karol Wojtyla (St. John Paul II) visited this architecturally distinct chapel often. Time for prayer. Continue to the colorful Krupowki Street for lunch on your own. Have the opportunity to do some shopping at the local bazaar before returning to Krakow. Dinner and a restful overnight.
Day 8: Krakow, St. John Paul II Feast Day
After Breakfast, enjoy a half-day walking tour of Krakow visiting the Skalka Church, Wawel Royal Cathedral, and St Mary's Basilica with its famous altar. This place owes its importance in history to the martyrdom of Stanisław, Bishop of Krakow and Patron Saint of Poland. Enjoy time for lunch and shopping. Continue to the St Pope John II Centre for an extra special time during his feast day. Visit the newly constructed Shrine of Divinity dedicated to Saint John Paul II in 2002. Celebrate Mass at the Shrine and pray by the relic of St. John Paul II. Enjoy dinner in your hotel and a restful overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Wadowice the birthplace of Karol Wojtyla (Saint John Paul II). While in the small city of Wadowice, visit the church where this beloved Saint was baptized and attended Mass as a child. Celebrate Mass then lunch on you own. In the afternoon, continue to the Kalwaria Sanctuary established in 1600 inspired by the Basilica of the Holy Cross in Jerusalem. Throughout his life St John Paul II made pilgrimages to the sanctuary. The sanctuary was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in view of its artistic qualities and immense cultural and spiritual value. Return to Krakow for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Krakow, Lagiewniki, Wieliczka
Depart for our excursion to Lagiewniki the capital of the Divine Mercy where the message of the Divine Mercy originated. Christ Himself wished to pass on to our generation through the mediation of St. Faustina. Visit the Shrine of Divine Mercy where this Sanctuary houses images of the Merciful Jesus, relics of St. Faustina, the Saint's convent Chapel and the Saint's Tomb. Eucharistic Celebration. Lunch on your own. Depart for Wieliczka to Europe's oldest salt mine a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Farewell dinner in Wieliczka with a folklore show. Return to Krakow.
Day 11: Depart for the USA or Extend to Prague!
Journey home with wonderful memories and spiritual enrichment from JeriCo’s Poland, Pope, and Padres Pilgrimage!
Fr. Derek and Fr. Doug have to get back to school and work, but some of us can continue on to Prague. We will continue on in a private bus, but first stopping in Křtiny to visit the Church of the Virgin Mary - Santini's Pearl of Moravia. Other attractions include a carillon (tower) and In the crypt below the church is a vast ossuary where a discovery was made in the early 1990s: twelve skulls painted with laurel wreaths and the letter T. The picturesque Moravian Karst northeast of Brno is also home to a number of geological features including many caverns and gorges. Continue to Prague to check‐in to your 4* hotel. Enjoy dinner at restaurant within walking distance and overnight in Prague.
Optional extension Day 12: Prague
After breakfast tour of the city’s foremost sacral monuments: the monastery at Strahov, the Loreto with the Santa
Cassa, Hradčany Royal Castle (from the outside), including St. Vitus’ Cathedral and the Basilica of St. George, and the Golden Lane. A stroll through the historic Mala Strana (Lesser Town) district and a tour of St Nicholas’ Church.
Lunch on your own in Petřín Hill (a favorite spot for locals) and enjoy some time at leisure. Then enjoy a guided walking tour in Petřín Hill to the Petřín Lookout Tower, very similar to the Eiffel Tower, its observation deck is the highest in Prague and few feet away from the tower Mirror Maze. Enjoy dinner at restaurant walking distance from the hotel.
Optional Day 13: Prague
In the morning depart for your excursion to Karlstejn to visit to Karlstejn Castle and its Holy Cross Chapel, the home of the Bohemian crown jewels and reliquaries of saints. Return in Prague in time to Attend the Holy Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Victory which holds the Infant statue of Prague. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon discover the dramatic history of the Old Town and Jewish Quarter (Josefov) which remain a testimony to the history of the Jews in Prague. They form the best‐preserved complex of historical Jewish monuments in Europe. The Jewish Quarter with its six synagogues and the most remarkable the Old Jewish Cemetery. The Jewish Quarter is located between the Old Town Square and the Vltava
River. Enjoy a Cruise on the Vltava River: cruise with dinner included and from where you can admire the sun
sets gradually and the city lights up. Return for a restful overnight in your 4* hotel.
Optional Day 14: Prague to USA
