Day 1: USA - Mexico City
Depart from the USA and arrive at Mexico’s International Airport late in the day. We will have a first visit of the Basilica of Guadalupe with time for prayer before the Tilma of Our Lady, time permitting. Check-in to the Gillow Hotel in the downtown area for the week.

Day 2: A day with Our Lady
After breakfast visit the Basilica area. Concelebrated Mass at the Shrine or Mass at the Chapel of the Well. Afterwards, tour the Baptistry of the Temple of Capuchinas. Visit the Perpetual Adoration Chapel and the museum at the Old Basilica. Lunch in the area on your own. Visit religious sites near the Basilica including Tepeyac Hill climb where the miracle of the Roses happened. Tour around Reforma and Chapultepec, before returning to our hotel for dinner. (B, D)

Day 3: Honoring the martyrs of the Christian war
After breakfast, we will go for Mass and time for prayer at the Church of the Holy Family where the remains of the martyred Beatified Father Miguel Pro are. We will then visit Father Pro’s Museum and have time to see the Roma area. Afterward, we will visit the Temple and ex-convent/museum of Our Lady of Carmen in Coyoacán, On to the Square of St. Hyacinth in San Ángel to enjoy this colonial neighborhood full of art and crafts. At the end of the day, we will return downtown for dinner and to the hotel. (B, D)

Day 4: (Candlemas) A Day immersed in Mexican Culture
We will start our day with breakfast at the Blue Tile Sanborn’s restaurant before we go to the Palace of Fine Arts to enjoy the Folkloric Ballet of Amalia Hernández. Visit the Palace as well including the Church of St. Francis, built in 1727, the Cathedral, and the Palace of the Archbishop (where the image of Our Lady was revealed in the Tilma to the first Bishop, Fray Juan de Zumárraga). We will also see the remains of the Aztec Empire and visit the archeological museum in the area. After lunch with a view of the Zócalo Plaza, we will have Mass at the Temple of St. Philip Neri, the Profesa. We will return to the hotel for supper and to spend the night. (B,D)

An early breakfast then to the Sanctuary of Piedra Herrada, a Natural Protected Area by UNESCO. See the butterflies via horseback before thousands migrate back to Canada. There will be time to enjoy them with an energetic walk to where they gather to drink. In the nearby town of Valle de Bravo have Mass at the Parish of Saint Francis and dinner with a view of the lake before returning in the evening to Mexico City. (B, D)

Day 6: St. Juan Diego and his times
After breakfast, head to the Plaza of the Three Cultures in Santiago Tlaltelolco, visiting the Temple of Saint James the Apostle. Continue on the road St. Juan Diego used to walk to his house in Cuautitlán. Mass at the Church of the Little Hill, which was built over the remains of St. Juan Diego’s house and visit the underground museum. Have an early dinner at nearby Tepotzotlán, one of Mexico’s incredible towns. We will visit the Church and ex-convent of St. Francis Xavier then return to our hotel. (B, D)
After breakfast, head to the Plaza of the Three Cultures in Santiago Tlaltelolco, visiting the Temple of Saint James the Apostle. Continue on the road St. Juan Diego used to walk to his house in Cuautitlán. Mass at the Church of the Little Hill, which was built over the remains of St. Juan Diego’s house and visit the underground museum. Have an early dinner at nearby Tepotzotlán, one of Mexico’s incredible towns. We will visit the Church and ex-convent of St. Francis Xavier then return to our hotel. (B, D)
Day 7: St. Juan Diego continued; Our Lady’s journey
This is one of the earliest XVI Century churches and Parish where Saint Juan Diego was baptized in 1529. We will ride to Tulpetlac, State of Mexico, to participate in Mass at the Church of the Fifth Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This is where Saint Juan Diego’s uncle was miraculously healed at the same time Our Lady appeared to him at Tepeyac Hill and insisted he visit the bishop. From here we will go to San Juan Teotihuacán to visit one of the most important archaeological centers of Pre-Hispanic America. Lunch on your own enjoying the impressive view of the site with time to visit, shop, and walk through the area. We will finish our visit with a farewell dinner then return to the hotel. (B, D)
Day 8: Departure
After breakfast we will go for a last visit to the Basilica for Mass and time for prayer. We will pick up luggage and check out of the hotel for our drive to the international airport to return to the U.S.A. (B)

Optional extension to an all-inclusive resort in Huatalco.
This is one of the earliest XVI Century churches and Parish where Saint Juan Diego was baptized in 1529. We will ride to Tulpetlac, State of Mexico, to participate in Mass at the Church of the Fifth Apparition of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This is where Saint Juan Diego’s uncle was miraculously healed at the same time Our Lady appeared to him at Tepeyac Hill and insisted he visit the bishop.
